General info:
General DNW:
- out of setting AU/modern AU/generic AU (coffeeshop AU, high-schools AU and the like)
- hopeless endings (open endings are fine)
- non-canonical character death
- eye trauma described in any kind of detail
- mind-control
- character bashing (as in unreasonable hating without any reason spelled out - if you see a character able to bash another, warn for it and keep it as out of the author's speech as possible)

- unconsentual infidelity in any poly ships — if two ends of the triangle are not into each other, I’d prefer a line about them being alright with the situation rather then the middle intentionally keeping them in the dark and/or angst about it

Those are my history OTP/3, so anything with them would be a delight! Soulmates, mpreg, daemons, plain magical realism – anything!
For the inspiration, however, I’ll write two historical anecdotes:
1) Nicholas Pavlovich was courting Varvara Nelidova (who was his wife’s maid-in-waiting) and apparently it was the final straw for Alexandra Feodorovna herself – she took Nelidova and went to travel along Italy. Nicholas followed suit, they talked things out and Nelidova was presumably the ‘head’ mistress as well as Alexandra’s friend – close enough to Nicholas that after his death Nelidova wanted to become a nun, close enough to Alexandra that she managed to talk Nelidova out of it.
2) Once Nicholas Pavlovich was travelling along with Benckendorff. Given how bad Russian roads can be, the carriage overturned, and Nicholas had his collarbone broken. Benckendorff went for help (although likely bruised himself) and later on was the liason between Nicholas and the rest of the country while the tsar was being treated in a nearby village (for a couple of weeks, since it’s first half of XIX century!)
(am I hinting at hurt/comfort and/or relationship negotiations? Yes. Yes, I do)

Entities that change according to the changes their population is going through? Physical children of earlier wandering groups of people? Immortal people chosen somehow among the populace? Or something completely different, it’s up to you!

Note: I'm all for gender fluid personifications, but in Russian names/patronymics/surnames are gendered, and I won't be able to forget it (that's more of a squick, and there are gender neutral surnames, usually foreign in origin, so that's not a DNW per se).

Star Wars doesn’t really need an introduction or explanation – although in this exchange it’s a one big lump of fandoms (probably in a trenchcoat). I have participated in Star Wars exchanges, so any prompts from former letters are great to go still (this whole account is for exchanges), but my usual favorites are any time travel shenanigans, Force-usage swap (say, Padmé and Tarkin are the Jedi, Obi-Wan is a Senator and Anakin managed to be an ex-governor turned admiral? Or Mace Windu is the survivor of Order 66 and recovers on Tatooine to teach Luke (or hides as an advisor to Organas, I’m certain he deserves some comfort?) or Force-alignment swap – Jedi turning Sith, Sith – Jedi, that thing.

For original ships unless it’s steampunk: I’d prefer generic XVII-XIX century if historical and fantasy akin to Discworld or Witcher if not (as in – magic more prevalent than gunpowder, actions have consequences, humans are humans and therefore are allowed to be nasty, modern utilities can exist but as a magical or less technological thing, etc.).
Any fantasy races are welcome (preferably with tags).
